Margaret here, hope I am blogging correctly.
A little bit about me, I live in Leeds on my own, a pensioner!! nearly 65 and have two daughters and a granddaughter. My love of stitching keeps me busy and now I have discovered the stitchin fingers site spend a lot of time looking at work of some extremely talented stitches, all very inspiring.

Margaret, did you go to blogger.com to set up your blog? It has instructions how to do a header, a background, add pics and such. I think the reason your blog looks different is that you haven't yet done any of these steps. If you need any more help with this, please drop me a line......susancuss@yahoo.com.....and I'll try to answer you.
You can check out my blog here: http://suztats.blogspot.com to see what I mean about the different things to add, like buttons, and special tools, although my blog is rather simple in design since I don't have too many add ons.
I'm a member of StitchMap as well as stitchin fingers, and I'm currently doing TAST, the CQJP 2012, learning some Chikan Embroidery with Anita's SAL, and taking some courses with StitchMap. And I'm behind......!
Happy stitchin!

Hi Margaret, This really is different. Now I agree with Suztats you have not done all the jazzing up bits. It looks like you have not set up the formatting. So what I would suggest first to to go to where you began the blog which you yourself should be able to see your settings or where you began and see if there is a help page that might give you some directions. In the meantime I will go and try to set up another blog and write the steps down it is difficult not being able to speak directly to find out what you can actually see on your home page.

I noticed that you have flip cards, etc at the top, and perhaps if you started with something where it is all on the page already you might be able to see things instead of having them hidden.

Anyway will see what I can do. I have commented with my blog address so hopefully you will be able to go to my blog. I think you have been trying to get to my old blog which has twisted threads in the name.

many thanks Shirley, so glad you have found me and I have managed to add your blog to my page so I am now following you. Have looked at settings and thought I now had something like a blog page but of course do not know what other people see. Will try to get over to my daughter`s sometime next week and then will get her to look me up so I can see what you see!
Will hang in hoping to get better. Please do not worry too much about setting up another blog to help, it would be great but do not want to cause you agro.
Thanks once again
Margaret

Thanks Suzats for all your help, still struggling but at least a couple of people have found me so I know it works! Have told Shirley I will try and get my daughter to look me up on her laptop when I see her so I can see what other people see. Have found your blog and wow if I ever get anything like that I will be truly amazed.
You are certainly busy with all you do, I tend to just do my own thing, find following instructions difficult, once I get the hang of things I am not to bad but it is getting to understand in the first place that is the trouble. My favourite technique is hardanger but also like surface embroidery and counted work. Have an embellishing machine, but so far have not mastered it completely. Early days yet. Trying to do the tuesday stitches managed to load one onto flickr tast page the other day and have loaded one or two as my pictures but not worked out how to put them on the Tast or is it the pintangle site.
Well will go now thanks for your help.
Margaret
