CQJP november

Just a short blog today to show my block for november.   My how this year has flown,  it seems no time at all that I started the block for january at the beginning of january and now I have only one block to do.

My theme for the centre block this month was the falling leaves of autumn,  I am a bit ahead of myself here as we still have most leaves on the trees, never mind.  I used PVA glue on some fabric to stiffen it and then cut tiny leaves out and stab stitched them to the block, both on the branches and the ground below,  think of worked quite well as it is my first attempt with the glue idea.  In the top panel  are fireworks!!  maybe if you squint a bit and screw your faces up you will imagine they are fireworks!

I have also been busy making a few shopping bags, some pin cushions and Christmas tree decorations and have put some cards I made in the past in the bag too in memory of a dear friend who passed away recently.  Her family are having a charity stall at the K & S show in Harrogate to raise funds for the hospice that cared so well for Ann in her last few weeks,   lets hope they raise a large sum.

Love the embroidery work on this block too. Will you be putting all the block together at the end of the year?

This November blog looks very beautiful. So optimistic and I need no way to turn my head or squeeze the eyes - the firework is perfectly good visible. I am doing some tiny seams with a sticky pen - and oh, it helps so much.

Time flies fast and it was not long since you started the first block of the month; now you have 11 and they have developed a lot over the year. Well done, Margaret. The fireworks lighten this last block a lot.
I hope your goods will sell well at that K&S so Derek can present the hospice with a lot of money in the name of Ann. Bless you for your kindness!

Love this! The detail is so amazing. Very autumn and I don't even have to squint to see the fireworks.

I really like this one. I'd have picked the fireworks even if you hadn't mentioned it!

Margaret, I really love this one. Of course the tree is my favourite as I love trees, but the whole is lovely. Looks like you are busy as usual

Nice block, I like the fireworks they are nice and colourful. I haven't used the glue before in this way it sound a good idea to give the fabric a bit of strength!

Those are nice fireworks! You're working quickly-- finished November already, and I've barely begun mine. Your block has lots of colour and movement.

Great looking block! It reminds me of an amusement park, with rides on the left side, fireworks in the evening, and lots of fun!

It's to make a lovely reminder of the year gone past, when you look back at all these blocks. Do you know how you're going to finish them?

How lovely! You did a wonderful job!

I am dropping by to try and answer your question about how to follow me. I am on Bloglovin, but I can't put a link on my sidebar for some reason. I do have a post several posts back that has a link just under the title that says Claiming my blog. I don't do face oom and just signed up for blog.ovin with my email address. The only other thing I can suggest if you are on blogger is to go to your main page whe it says add blogs and add there. Not sue if that is still working or not

Sorry for the typos. I am on my IPAD which has a mind of it's own. I meant to say that I am not on Facebook and signed up for Bloglovin with my email.
