2 more flimsie quilts

I have made 2 more quilts   first Urban neighbourhoods   the new year challenge quilt from Michele Foster,    unfortunately I was like a bull in a china shop and after making the 30 blocks I thought I knew best and put it together without following instructions.  Alternate blocks should have been rotated 90 degrees  I certainly was not going to unpick it all but will make another correctly in the next few weeks.  I used a jelly roll,  the river bank by Fabric freedom and some plain yellow.  How much easier using a jelly roll, so much less cutting to do as it was the right width,  will use another the next time too.Sorry the photo is very dark   taken on the kitchen floor.

the next one was in the mini series,  also one of Michele Foster`s  Carousel rides which I am very pleased with,  one more to go then all 6 will have been done and I might then pluck up some courage to try quilting them,   have a notion that small quilts might make life easier!  The last one is due to be released at the beginning of feb.

Have been in trouble with the lap top,  seems I was hacked and then ripped off over fixing it, paid out a lot of money fortunately by cheque which I have stopped,  police sent me to PC world and they have worked on it they said windows had been corrupted   not sure what all that means and put a new windows in and so far all is well,   the only problem now cannot reconnect my printer or reinstall Microsoft office so no printing at the moment,  will download to memory sticks and go to staples for now.
Not very motivated at the moment re starting a new project   I hate anything new but hopefully will start something soon,  have Farm girl vintage,  Women of the Bible and The farmers wife all on the to do list for this year.   Maybe will do another Crazy challenge  have signed up but not started yet.
Comments have been down so looks like google have stopped some from leaving a comment but I think everyone can still see what mischief I am up to   will just see what happens.  Have removed the embedded bit from comments after being given the instructions.

Again I am amazed about your work - two really large quilts - for me - my latest being 30 x 40 cm. Ha, no quilt at all but a table set which is not yet on my blog. Sorry to hear about your troubles with windows and hackers. What an annoyance! But you seem to have it fixed again.

these are lovely Margie. I find the trouble with jelly rolls is that I never want to cut into them. lol

Hope all is well with your computer now. I get angry when mine is out of use in some way. Beautiful colours on your quilts. My favorite is that first one.

The quilts tops are gorgeous! The top one is really pretty, some people may have twisted their blocks, but that doesn't mean it's wrong not to! Sorry you've had computer problems - so frustrating! Husband's just replaced my PC, but it's taken ages to get all the programs I use and to re save all the passwords!

So sorry about your computer issues.. Hope they are soon completely resolved. Your quilt flimsies are beautiful. I never would have known you made a different version than was intended. Great sewing goals for this year.

Say, I like your way of thinking. Smaller quilts are sure easier to finish. I can't believe how much you do so I'm sure you will find inspiration before long.

The tops look great. I don't see anything wrong with the way the first one looks, even if it didn't follow the directions. I like it! I know you will pick just the right next project to do. I'm glad your computer got fixed right the second time, and am so sorry that the first time was a scam. Thank goodness you could stop the check, and keep the expense of that lesson low! Here's hoping you can get your printer hooked up soon. Reload printer drivers? Download new ones from web to load? Ask advice from place that fixed it? It's probably some simple thing.

They both look great, Margaret! It is hard to see that rotating some of those first blocks would make much difference. It's like a starry sky!

Two great quilt tops! I love the mini quilt, such a great design. That's what I love about patchwork, the fantastic effects you can get with colour and pattern! Really annoying about your laptop though, but hopefully all sorted now!

The urban quilt is so lovely. The yellow really stands out from the blues, a nice choice. I have used precuts for lots of my quilts, so easy. Then you can use the scraps for easy squares or bricks. The other quilt is a unique pattern, looks difficult. The series should be good. So try quilting the smaller quilt first, to get back in practice.

Two lovely quilts Margaret. I am glad that you have sorted some of your computer problems, it is a minefield when they go wrong, not knowing what to do for the best. My problem seems to be ok now but I haven't a clue what was wrong with it.
Good luck!

Both quilts look great! I would not have known that your Urban Neighbourhoods was sewn together incorrectly if you hadn't mentioned it! How frustrating about your computer issues. I hope everything is solved quickly.
