Not sure what you have in mind in the way of a bag so no advise, but look forward to seeing what you come up with:) I don't think it will matter which side you call the front - both are interesting - maybe put the side showing that goes best with what you are wearing or your mood - red spicy & sassy, and greens calm and collected. okay, I'll stop now.
Have a beautiful day.
Smiles,
Lady LocustLady Locusthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12661298925602199106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3339114485275797032.post-38613519438683957032013-07-24T06:34:10.921-07:002013-07-24T06:34:10.921-07:00Very pretty block . I normally attach the batting to the top , then add lining. But if I quilt then I use thin muslin as backing fabric , quilt all the 3 layers(top, batting & backing) and add a nice lining fabric ...This is the method which works for me..Hope this helps...Anitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04424511014088050460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3339114485275797032.post-19798427785739641032013-07-23T19:46:19.626-07:002013-07-23T19:46:19.626-07:00Great blocks and I see a lovely bag coming up. I did make one quilted bag from Fabulous Bags to Stitch and Make by Jenny Rolfe in which lining and outer were quilted all together first then front and back stitched around the edges. I liked the effect but it was a bit out of my confidence zone.Jillianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05076197012454643657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3339114485275797032.post-81237695336158696992013-07-23T08:11:18.370-07:002013-07-23T08:11:18.370-07:00I think this will be a pretty bag!I think this will be a pretty bag!Annethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06938803180320247229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3339114485275797032.post-33013653261745975982013-07-23T07:42:15.640-07:002013-07-23T07:42:15.640-07:00I like your large hexes--especially the green one!...I like your large hexes--especially the green one! If I do, I use a thin piece of muslin on the back. If not, I just baste the batting to the front, or sometimes use a bit of spray glue. Then I use the front and batting as one piece. That sews the batting in and keeps it from shifting.

This will be a pretty bag!Margo Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04363240449591513063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3339114485275797032.post-9092072374967510362013-07-23T02:44:08.589-07:002013-07-23T02:44:08.589-07:00Wow! you have progressed well, your designes look ...Wow! you have progressed well, your designes look good, I haven't made many bags but the ones that I did were made the same way as Queenie described, I am sure that you will work it out!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3339114485275797032.post-91676223531215110002013-07-23T01:41:59.395-07:002013-07-23T01:41:59.395-07:00continuation.... and sew the lining to the quilted...continuation.... and sew the lining to the quilted top.
Stitching Ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06822641831988712014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3339114485275797032.post-32567832309561811402013-07-23T01:39:25.610-07:002013-07-23T01:39:25.610-07:00These block look beautiful, wonderful colors.
