urban neighbourhood quilt

Another quilt completed,   this is the first urban one I made but in my rush did not read the making up instructions properly,  the blocks should have been attached turning them alternately sideways    I think I prefer it this way.  The second one I made is done correctly a photo on my previous blog but will attach it here too so you can see the difference. Quilting is random and had to be close as I used a wadding that had to be quilted no wider than 4" apart,  the wadding I usually use is 10!"   suits me much better.

This year I have also decided to do the rainbow challenge,   this month the colour is purple,  I also am doing the crazy block a month so decided I would link them together,  the block is made but not done any cazy work on it yet.

I have been trying to organise my lap top pictures, gathering into one file all the projects I completed last year,  not sure if I have them all but here is a collage of what I did find.  There are only a few large quilts and unfortunately the biggest one has come out as one of the smallest on the collage!

Great finishes there Margaret! I agree with you about the first one...both quilts are lovely but I think the layout in the first has produced a stunning quilt. The collage of projects is impressive...you achieve so much! I look forward to seeing your crazy patchwork rainbow block each month...clever idea to combine the two!!!

That is an amazing achievement in a year. Congratulations - and the collage is a great idea. I love the yellow in the urban quilt. I enjoy your crazy quilting and this one looks so enticing, just calling for some stitching!

I agree, I like the first one better, but maybe it is the colours more than the design. Anyway, congrats on the finish!

I love making the collages. It looks like a productive year, however they get sized! I like both of your quilt tops. With the color differences, it's hard to decide which setting is my favorite. Good for you for a January finish, though!

What an enormous number of quilts you finished last year - I am so impressed. And it is a good idea to make this collage for us to see but also for you to have them all together.

Wow, you were busy last year. I clicked on the photo and was able to see it larger and admire all your projects. I really like both of those settings - it's amazing how different they look with just a slight different placements. Love your RSC block.

The collage really shows how much you got done last year. If I weren't so lazy I would do something similar. All your quilting looks lovely.

The collage of your photos looks really good Margaret - how exciting to have all your completions together in one picture. Your two 9-patch quilts are beautiful - and interesting to see the different looks achieved by different fabrics. Your crazy scrap blocks will be a fun journey for you - you've made a good start!
