This is another small quilt completed using 24 of the tula blocks which is now on the back of the second couch to hopefully compliment the one on the other couch. I machine quilted each block individually they all vary as they are all different shapes an then quilted each side of the seams on the sashing.
and I have used some Ikea fabric on the back
The spring sampler I did as a BOM and was not happy with is also completed, having shown a photo of it to Jennie Rayment she advised me to add turquoise in each sashing block, not having enough I added the owl fabric and it seems to have pulled it together a bit better, I do still not like the white sashing but can live with it now, it is on my bed not that it is big enough but it looks quite nice.
This is the sun the hexie block for august show
Still doing the CQJP challenge and here is september, 3 to go and then will have to decide how to put them together sorry no, no doubt Helen will want to take control of that as it is for her
My monthly block I do for bee blessed this month it is a sail boat and have heard that it sailed over the Irish sea and arrived safe and sound
I am now busy hand quilting the wrist watch quilt for Helen, have done 26 butterflies so far will post photo on my next blog

Was it the second one down you didn't like? I think it's great.....love the patten in the last one too! You are doing great....finally started mine, think I'm going to start a quilt club that's on once a week, grow my fledgling confidence! :) xxx
Love the first quilt as I always love anything set off on black.

How much I like this first quilt and I can see that we both think the same: the back doesn´t really need to match, most important is that it looks nice by itself.

It might have been some time since you blogged about your work, but then when you do, you have a lot of progress to show. Great work. I think the BOM quilt is great as it is. If you wanted to do something about the white sashing you could add some turquoise buttons.
The sailboat is such a lovely block.
I love your Tula quilts and I love that you are able to keep up with the crazy quilt challenge. I am still working on my first crazy quilt block a year after I started it!
So many nice projects to look at here. I love your Tula Pink blocks and the quilt you made of them. And of course the hexies.
Your quilt looks fantastic and I love the hexagons too.
You have been busy Margaret, I like what you have done with the BOM quilt!
You accomplished a lot! Isn´t it a good feeling to get things finished?
I like your crazy quilt block, you embroidered it nicely.

I think we are our own worse critics. I really like the white sashing on the quilt and would struggle to suggest an alternative colour.
Great to see your projects, your finished quilts are lovely, I do like your sampler quilt!! Your crazy quilt block is gorgeous and those wonky blocks a lso lots of fun - will make a neat quilt.
So many wonderful projects. I haven't even though about my hexie birdie yet.
Margaret, you are just going from strength to strength with your quilts. I am just gobsmacked every time I see your new posts. Congratulations on your wonderful finishes.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the first 2 quilts ,you are getting so good
You certainly have been very very busy Margaret. I actually love the white sashing in the sampler quilt and the hexies are fabulous. Great work!
It must be lovely to have the quilts on the sofas to snuggle up with, they're really striking. Lots of things there to keep you busy
Lots if lovely staff, I really like the top (Tula ?)
My word haven't you been busy you have improved so much with your piecing and now the same with your quilting Well done you must be so pleased
I like your Ikea backed quilt - good idea. And the wonky block is very, very inspiring.
Love your little hexi birdie especially!!! And enjoy seeing your crazy quilt progress...such fun you are having!!
Wow, what a lot of work! Fantastic! I like the wonky blocks and the Ikea backing fabric is super - good choice. The little hexie bird is just lovely.
you have been busy! The quilts look great
Loved your quilts Margaret especially the second one..
You have been very busy! Love the first quilt, I wihs I knew how to machine quilt, so I could finish a few very old UFO's!
They're all neat, but of course I love the hexies - what a cute bird - looks like a rooster to me. Thanks for linking to Hexie Weekend.
What a full post! Love the tula pink finish, love the one you don't care much for, love the chicken hexagons, and love all the work you did on everything! I'm going to try to get a closer look at your wonderful CQ block. You are finishing the year nicely. This is the first year I haven't completed my goals, but I'm okay with that. Lots of emotion in this year's blocks.
So much eye candy today--great to see your quilts and your cqjp--mine is slowed to a standstill. I may pick it up to finish next year. Lovely creations Margaret. You've travelled quite far on your quilting journey!
You have been busy! I love the birdie and the sail boat,.. so pretty. The crazy block is lovely with a cat among the flowers.
Wow, you have been busy! I know you prefer darker sashing but I really like your second quilt (with the little owls you added). Looks great to me. I also like the wonky block (and I'm not one for wonky!).
The tula blocks quilt is so beautiful, love the binding..hexie bird is so cute! tBoth the sail boat block and the wonky star looks wonderful.
You have been sew busy and accomplished. So many different types of projects, all interesting and inspiring.
I really like the sampler quilt and I think the white sashing with the colored posts sets of the blocks very well.
The hexie birdie is cute.
Thanks for sharing ... :) Pat
You have done great work .I love your quilts, the Tula quilt as the BOM.and your hexies are lovely.
The quilts you have made are really beautiful and speak of your hard work . Love the colors and pattern in the first one !
WOW.....you've been busy......happy to see your new pieces!!!
I love all the projects you've been working on; you've certainly been very busy! :-)
I love everything about the first quilt, the colors and setting, the scrappy binding and the backing fabric! I love the second one too! Such a cute hexie bird!
I adore your hexie sun and birdie. They are very unique. Lovely quilts you have created. I see sew much growth in your projects and you should feel very proud of yourself. Creative Sewing Bliss Dear...
Oh, Margaret! All your projects are very sweet, but that BOM that you were not happy with??? I love it! It's just gorgeous! Nice work on all!
You're ahead of me by 2 blocks on the hexie BOM - I best make an effort to get at least one cut out this weekend. I want to do an "ombre" look for my sun and we are switching the bird to an apple (which means designing it so maybe I can just take the lazy route and do the bird).
I like your spring sampler quite a bit, Margaret! I like the modern white sashing, AND I love the little birds in the cornerstones. Great job!
