and this is him today enjoying a bit of sun.
I have sent my latest pin cushion off for the swap this is a bit of a cheat as I got the design from Gail Pan`s book Patchwork loves embroidery one of my favourite books in my rather large collection.
and received a beauty from Turid in Norway when I saw it on her blog I was all fingers and toes crossed that it was for me so you can imagine how delighted I was when it arrived the other day
.
I have made 3 heart blocks for the Orlando quilt appeal which I will send off tomorrow.
Whilst having Alfie I have caught up on doing the embroidery in the 6 mini quilts I did with Jacquelynne, they should have had applique in but way beyond me so used some of the designs in embroidery form and drew some for the other quilts, will share once quilted do not hold you breath

You are certainly keeping busy. Love the concept of the pin cushion exchange….it must be so exciting sending and receiving these treasures.
Love your makes and Alfie is adorable xx
I like the way you get quickly involved in special bprojects such as the Orlando quilt. Does Alfie keep you off the machine because he wants to try it himself? Cats are so curious!
Cats are so adorable and do you know what I love the most? Their soft belly.
Lovely pin cushions! And what a nice bag, is it quiltet?
Nana
love the pin cushion!!!!
That pincushion swap sounds like so much fun! Glad you got the one you were hoping for. Thanks again for the heart blocks, we really appreciate it here in Orlando. Alfie is so adorable. I'm such a pushover for a cat and his cute belly!
Your cat is so lovely.
Love the pincushins and the bag!
At first I thought I saw a photo of our cat Cindy on your blog, Alfie looks a lot like her! she even likes to sleep on her back.
pretty pin cushions and heart blocks.Lovely bag as well.
Alfie's so laid back, he's clearly one cool, dude lol
Smashing bag, great colour too.
I bought a whole bolt of solid white fabric, and I talked the shop into a 20% discount for it, and I am so glad I have it! It is so handy for so many projects. I may actually need another one soon! I love both those pincushions, and your rainbow hearts too! Stay cool. :D
Love that sweet little bird pincushion! Glad you got the one you were hoping for. That exchange is a nice idea. You certainly got. Your hearts to Orlando done quickly, a worthy cause. The pink bag is cute, glad to see the photo. Cats are wonderful to have in your home. They keep us entertained whatever they do. I still miss Popper after a year. Have a great week.
Dear Margaret,
your pincushion looks sweet and the one go got is also very, very nice. The bag also looks very lovely...but the most wonderful photo within this post is the cat. Cat´s are sooo wonderful creatures...all of them.
Many hugs

Beautiful embroidery,Margaret! Waiting to see the rest of them. But Alfie is the best!!
Oh Alfie!!! So handsome! Love the little bird pincushion - just adorable.
So Alfie has come to you for a holiday? Good for him! He looks very relaxed! Lovely pincushions both sent and received!
Your Alfie is exactly the same colour as markings as our first cat "Tiger". She was a stray mother cat, and we adopted her.She had 3 of the most beautiful white kittens. Mum kept one of them, and the boys went to the Animal Welfare.Tiger was my specuial cat and either sat on my lap or on my desk when I went to college as a Mature Age student.
Love your stitching too.
I LOVE pincushions, and yours is so sweet with the embroidery.
Judy xx
love the hearts, that fabric is amazing.
There is always so much to see on your blog. Charming cat, beautiful 'treavelling' pin cushions, nice bag and heart bocks. I hope you soon get the fabric for Jo Cox.
I especially like the hearts where the fabric goes in different directions, but they are all very nice and will be welcome, I know. That cat is so funny! Sometimes I almost think I should get a cat again, but then I remember they are work. LOL Your pincushion with the bird is just great - I don't see why that would be cheating at all! I like the one you received, too. This bag looks just as great as the other two. You almost convince me to make one again. Almost.
Hello Margaret,
your pincushion looks sweet and i like the little bird.. What a lovely cat,
Greetings, Martina
The bird Pincushion is cute. We have four cats. Alfie looks so happy bless him.
Alfie is adorable! Love the embroidery on your pin cushion and the one you received is great too. It is a really nice swap! Love your hearts, the fabric gives you so many variations!
Alfie obviously at home with you. Hearts for Orlando how beautiful. great swap for the pin cushions.
I really like your Orlando blocks - and the bag is stunning. Glad you found it and posted. It's also great that you got the pin cushion you had your eye on. So nice when that happens. You are still on a roll - looking forward to seeing some of the work on the Jo Cox fabric when it comes.
Alfie looks like one very relaxed cat :) I like your heart blocks are you doing the same for the Jo Cox appeal? It is nice to be able to help in some way when people have faced such devastating losses.
Hope you are keeping well Margaret, yes, from my own experience cats and sewing aren't the best mix! ;) xxx
Alfie looks like such a sweet cat! Just wants to be involved in what your doing.
Thanks for linking up at Midweek Makers

Very cute pincushions and bag! Alfie looks like a character!
Alfie looks like he his very contented! Your bird pin cushion and bag are lovely . Have you made alfie a nice quilted cat basket for when he stays over!!
Love your bag and both pin cushions are wonderful. It looks as though you are having a great summer. I don't understand why you have to put away the sewing machine when the cat is around. But then again I have 3 cats and so would get nothing done if that were the case here. Plus my daughter's dog will be here for the weekend. They have a lot of fireworks by their house, and he gets very nervous. We live in a quieter area so he will be more comfortable here over 4th of July weekend.
I am late in telling you how much I like your pincushion which you sent away. The Norwegian one is beautiful, too. And I love seeing Alfie. He seems to be a rather big cat.
Too much cuteness, you sure have had a lot of fun with these projects, I love them!
All nice projects, Margaret :-)
xx
At last I have the time to look through all the beautiful blogs I love. Your stitched pincushion is so beautiful. I'm afraid of cats, so I can't say much about that. Have a nice and happy week, Margaret!
As always I am late to your party. I have had to review your last several posts and I see you are quite busy. Allie is adorable and doing what cats do so well...enjoying a catnap. Love your bags and pincushions. Looks like you received a lovely pincushion as well. Embracing Creative Bliss...
your work is just beautiful margie and your productivity is an inspiration! Beautiful Gail Pan design you have worked!
Is everything ok? Have not heard from
You in a while and you have not blogged recently. Hope all is well.
I've logged on like jocelyn above wondering if all is ok?
Your cat is so funny, I can tell he loves his home. I like the pincushion you made and the one you received also. Enjoy the last days of summer
