Great catching up! I like the herringbone scribbles. Your workspace looks like mine when I'm stitching!

brilliant catch up Sharon has a site that is a stitching dictionary http://inaminuteago.com/ not in to much detail but it is worth looking at. Drawers of threads how wonderful I have just a few boxes nearly all inherited from my Mum and there are a few from Great Aunts and my grandmother which I must use up

just been looking at my blog and found comments, you comment on my threads, these are just odd one I have picked up at shows that people have dyed, I have loads more, my biggest stack being perle cottons and also have DMC flower threads but they were discontinued a few years ago. I now find it hard to resist Oliver Twist dyed threads, use her fine cotton on my hardanger, also have a few of her machine threads which are beautiful but struggle with machine embroidery, need to spend some time on it really, would love to go on workshop but it would need to be a few days course so unlikely to do it.
I think I probably do not need to buy any more threads but somehow they are hard to resist. Just as well I no longer work at the shows, now only get to a couple a year, this has helped the bank balance considerably!
I have some of my grandmothers cottons, she passed away in 1956 and her dressmaking shears have finally stopped cutting, have been looking for a scissir harpener man but the local one`s grinding achine is broken, hopefully he will get it repaired soon as the modern scissors will not last like these have. Mind you it is partly due to the synthetic fabric, they do blunt scissors or so I am told.
I stumbled onto the inaminute web site the other day, another thing to distract me!

the penny has just dropped Jenny that I do not need to reply to every comment, you commented on my threads too and I think I am right in thinking the post I have just typed to Pippa`s comment you will also see, if I am wrong let me know please, still very much a learner.

to be honest Annet getting a bit bored with all these stitches, do not know if I will last the course, mind you I have only 12 to do before I catch up with when I started so I must buckle down and do it
