this last week I have been working on the february block, have kept a flower in the centre block, a snowdrop as I have one out in the garden.
I have also gone with the valentine theme and put a cherub and couple of hearts on it.
I have used assorted stitches, stem, straight, detached chain, oyster, knotted feather, spine chain, wheatear with beads and blanket with some straight stitches.
Another piece of tatting in orange. This month the block seems to be quite orange but I do like it with the green.
There are one or two areas that look a little bare but these I can add to when the other 10 blocks are completed and I decide what to do with them.
This did not photo well, the colours are not true and although have tried again it still comes out this colour
I have also done the tast stitch 51 today, raised herringbone band. 4 samples of the stitch, the first 3 rows were counted out geometrically but row 4 was stitched in a random manner.

Your block is lovely with its stitching, embellishments, and tatting. Your Tast stitching is great too. Have a lovely weekend. We got snow!! Have you all got snow too?? Hugs Judy
Well done Margaret!
I like the orange accents.
On my computerscreen the stitching in the lower right corner looks blue/green and falls away. I suppose the colors look better in reality.
Enjoy your weekend!
Marjolein.
You are doing so well, I love all the different textures! :) x
It looks amazing, I love all the embellishments..especailly love the snowdrops..they are one of my favourite flowers..pioneers of the Springtime! x
It seams to me that some cameras do not like some colours. Have you tried with just a plain cream background or in natural daylight. I try all sorts and sometimes get lucky. Your cqjp finished already for February well done wonderful stitching and the tatting love it. like the way that the bottom tast waves up and down shows promise for a seam treatment.
You are growing with the CQJP task. I like the idea of adding seasonal things like the snowdrop and the St Valentine hearts.
The Raised Herringbone Bands are all stunning! I like the last one especially!
Great idea to add a flower that's in our garden at the moment. I think the tatting is working really well, too. It's going to be really interesting to see it all accumulate.
I also like the herringbone - all great possibilities. I'd like to try them, too.
I like the addition of the snowdrop and the hearts. The orange really punches up the green. I like best your last row of the TAST-really different!
Your block looks great. I like those colours too! You are well ahead of the game this month. Great job!
Beautiful! The little snowdrop flower is lovely :) you are flying!
Your block looks wonderful. I like how you will let it rest until later and then look at it again. Blissful Stitching...
Lovely block Margaret. I loved the snow drop , and the tatted flower looks vibrant and lovely in contrast to the green of background.
The raised herringbone band in the 4th row is my favourite. Seems to have a lovely flow
Gorgeous block Margaret, I like the contrasting orange tatting and the snow drop. The themes are a good idea for your block, maybe you can do this for them all!
Your block looks lovely Margaret. I love the colours! I also really like the idea of making it current to what's happening at the time of stitching it - it will end up as a diary quilt! Judith x
You had a lot of excellent ideas with your block - I also love the orange in it. Oh, those photos which never turn out as they should - in colour.
Your stitch no. 51 in all its variations is so very nice.
I like the last one especially.
Your February block is very pretty, love the snowdrop. I saw one in my garden the other day, but now it's hidden under the fresh snow! Your experiments with the raised herringbone are so good, the bottom row is my favourite.
