not sure what will happen to them all now, I expect they will be put in a box or bag for a while till I decide whether to make them into one big quilt , will also have to consider whether to add sashing or not, I expect that will depend on how big I want it to be. decisions decisions.
I have also constructed the 12 blocks for my CQJP and Helen called yesterday to approve them! Not sure what I would have said and done if they did not meet her expectations, probably told her to do it herself
I hope it is not going to be too pink! have included a bit of grey but this is what she asked for. The stitching and embellishments she wants in the same colours, will see how it materialises. Glad I have them all made.
Now to my projects for 2014
I did not realise till I sat down what I had committed myself to.
1. finish of the Tula Pink challenge
2 CQJP 2014
3 do something with the economy blocks
4 quilt the stack and slash wallhanging
5 I have signed up to the hexie BOM for this year.
6 Have the chicken run blocks from R Glewe to do, these are foundation pieced so will have to master foundation piecing first, there are only 3 in the series.
7 I have just bought the instructions for the aiming for accuracy 2013 quilt, this really appeals as it has blocks of different sizes which I have wanted to do for a while.
8 Craftsy BOM with Laura Nownes from 2013 is also on the list, this has 10 not 12 blocks but this is one project I might pass on.
9 Craftsy Mickey Depre pieced hexies project.
10 I could not resist buying the hardanger SAL from Mabel (sorry not sure of her surname)
11 Last but not least is the round robin I joined with embroidery friends, not sure what has happened with this as so far I have only had 3 to stitch on, it seems to have come to a standstill, hopefully the lady holding it up will be in touch soon.
numbers 6,7,8,9,and 10 have not even been started yet
Well I think that is it but no doubt I will see other things I want to do too.
Tomorrow I am at the modern quilters group meeting. I have bought a tablet as we are going to be shown how to use pinterest and similar sites, not having an ipad, lap top or modern phone I would not have been able to take part so with tablet in hand I will boldly attempt to follow what we are told, do not hold out for much though as these contraptions are all a bit beyond me, will make plenty of notes so hopefully will get the knack in the end. I am also hoping to get some advice on my stack and slash quilting, have got some yellow hand quilting cotton to use, struggled to find the cotton and when I did could not get the colour I wanted, Gutermans is the only make I could find and they do not do a large range but I think the yellow will work
Will let you know how tomorrow goes

My goodness you've been busy! And it can never be to pink!
i do love pink. your list of things to do in 2014 seems to go on forever. it's nice to have lots of projects going at once. that's the way i work as well, however, i don't make lists....too overwhelming to actually see it written down.
You have big plans for this year, I wish you good luck and lots of finishes.
KATRIN W.
I just love them both! The economy blocks are to die for! I know what you mean about making decisions! It's hard to decide after you've make a ton of blocks cause you don't want to mess them up! Thanks for sharing the inspiration! Cheery wave from Bev
Nice and colourful blocks and the 2014 projects sound really good.

No, no...not in a drawer....these are fab, please finish them, you will give me hope then that one day I'll finish mine! :) x
I agree, don't put them in a drawer.... but of course after reading your list of to dos it all depends on time and priorities. once you get the hang of it you will love pinterest and your ipad. It is especially great for reading at night when the other half is snoring!
The economy blocks look great - and you are going to be very busy! I wouldn't mind betting you end up loving the tablet.
No wonder you are a member of Stitchaholics! You have a long and full list of things to do this year. Great! Have fun!
I am sure you will love the tablet, I don't know anyone who does not like theirs.
I think the economy blocks are impressive as they are, and would make a large quilt without any sashing.
Helen's QZ quilt will be very modern and chic, I am sure she will love it.
You have a paucity of things planned for 2014 (not!). I am amazed that you wanted to commit it to writing, though. I don't have the nerve. The economy blocks intrigue me. They are popping up all over the place right now. And as far as the tablet goes, you will learn to love it. It's one of the best things I bought for myself in years.
Oh, I do love these blocks. They'd make a lovely quilt
The pink quilt will be stunning, so full of energy! That list is a long one but is full of different types of projects if you get bored with one, you can jump to another. I seem to do too much jumping at times.
No smart phone here either, probably would be smarter than I.

Wow,you've got a long list for 2014 but lots of interesting projects.I think to write down your plan and posting it on blog is a great way to commit yourself to complete the projects on time and not putting it away into the UFO basket, wish I have the courage to do that…All the best Margaret!
You have been busy, Margaret, and what a line-up you have planned for 2014! I shall be checking in to see how it all goes.....oh, I do love eye candy! Have fun tomorrow!
Wow, you already made 100 economy blocks! They look great. There's a huge list for 2014, it's going to be a busy year for you, enjoy!
Wonderful stuff! You can always de-pinkify with your thread and lace choices. =) Pretty grey and lavender silk ribbon flowers come to mind.
Whew - your list for 2014 will see you keeping out of trouble!! Your blocks are really great and will look lovely made up into a good old big quilt! Go for it.
Your blocks are wonderful, I like your pink crazy. Your list of projects is impressive, you wońt be bored this year.
I love the way you say you launched into some fat quarters, I know what you mean, I hate cutting into a new bit of fabric, how stupid is that. lol
The shells in my scrumble were made up Margie, I found out how to do crab stitch and went mad. some of the others are from patterns.
As for Pinterest, I love it, so much inspiration.
