CQJP march

Here is my latest block for the CQJP challenge.    Bit of a mish mash this time,    started with a tree in the centre, spring time here in England and the trees in the garden are beginning to form buds.
I then went on an Easter theme,   He is Risen and the Cross to proclaim our risen Lord.

The Easter bunny and the chick came next along with some seam treatments and some tatting and a little beading.  The corner in the bottom left hand side is a little bare but I will add to this at a later date.

once again the colours are not too good.

On friday I am off to a show in Birmingham,    Sewing for pleasure, hobbycrafts and fashion, embroidery and stitch. . Looking forward to it, there for 3 days and staying with some friends who are exhibitors, and who I used to work the shows with. Hopefully there will be lots of inspiration but looking at the list of exhibitors there is far more in the paper craft side than the stitching.Paper craft seems to have taken over everywhere.

Hi Margie
Your block is coming along nicely, I love the bunny.
Do you get stuck sometimes as to what to put on, I do, I get patchworkers block (if you know what I mean) and have to come back at a later time when something comes to me. lol

It will be easy to recognise this beauty as the March block; Easter and the budding three and flowers. You are whipping up crazy quilting blocks like you've done nothing else in your whole life! Keep up the good work, and have fun in Birmingham.

Hi Margaret! I love your quilt block - so Springy! and I love how you've tied it all in with Easter. Just lovely. and the show sounds like terrific fun - I live so far away from civilization, I never get to go to such things. Take lots of photos!!

Thanks for the comment on the cat.
Wish I could get that comfortable just anywhere, imagine that, just flopping down and going to sleep, wonderful.
Keep warm its apparently going to be cold this weekend.

Love everything about your block including the left corner were the variegated color of the fabric is a design on it's own.
Very nice idea to include the Easter symbols in the patch.

Oh, you wll have fun with other stitchers - and you can always find some inspiration even from paper and mixed media. Your April blog is just so sweet. The bunny is dear and I love your tree. The spring colour is very refreshing. And I notice again a bit of orange - it adds brightness.
And Margaret, thanks for your comments on my latest posts.

I love this one! The seams are so cool I really love the feather stitch one and the other were the yellow thread alternates side with the straight stitches and lazy daisy. And I love all the spring motifs! You brought balanced color all around too. I just really like this block!
